A Texarkana man is celebrating global success with his latest Netflix project.

Jimmy Townsend, one of the executive producers of The Wrong Paris, watched as the romantic comedy debuted at No. 1 worldwide this week. Townsend, who manages the financial side of productions, says he enjoys seeing the creative team’s work come together.

The film stars Miranda Cosgrove and Pierson Fodé and tells the story of a Texas girl who thinks she’s headed for a reality show in Paris, France—only to end up in Paris, Texas.
