Texarkana Texas Police arrested 67-year-old Michael Keith Gerrity after he allegedly attacked a man with a green-handled hatchet near West 4th Street and Texas Boulevard. Officers say Gerrity admitted hitting the man, saying he “pissed me off.” The victim suffered a cut to the back. Gerrity is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted. He’s being held in the Bowie County jail on $100,000 bond.
