Texarkana, Arkansas firefighters had a busy night early Wednesday, battling four separate structure fires in a short span. The first blaze started just after midnight behind a home on Hickory Street. While crews were still working there, a second fire was reported at 1012 Laurel—followed almost immediately by a third just two doors down at 1016 Laurel.
As firefighters got those under control, a fourth fire broke out at 1402 Garland. All buildings were vacant and close together, making the situation more difficult. Help came from Texarkana, Texas fire crews and public works teams.
Investigators are looking into the cause. Anyone with information should call the Fire Marshal’s Office at 870-779-4959.
