A former Little River County jail captain is facing serious charges.

A former Little River County jail captain is facing serious charges.

Arkansas State Police say 53-year-old Kenneth Lee Vaughn of Ashdown was arrested Tuesday for felony third-degree sexual assault. Vaughn turned himself in at the White County Detention Center, where his bail was set at $25,000.

Investigators allege Vaughn had sexual contact with an inmate while transporting that person from Little River County to an Arkansas Department of Corrections facility in White County. The investigation is ongoing.
