The nonprofit Just Love and Kindness partnered with student councils from several area school districts to assemble more than 150 hygiene bags for the homeless community. The bags include blankets, gloves, handwarmers, and personal care items—simple supplies meant to offer warmth and comfort during the cold weather.
Board member Rodney Danley says the goal is to show students that anyone can fall on hard times, but there’s always hope and people willing to help. Student Council President Hannah Skinner adds that the project often inspires students to get more involved in community service.
The students hand-delivered the bags to Randy Sams’ Outreach Center, the Salvation Army, and Mission Texarkana.
