A Texarkana event venue says it is shutting down after a weekend event involving unsafe and disrespectful behavior.
Crossties announced on Facebook Sunday that it will stop accepting new reservations immediately and will permanently close after honoring all previously scheduled events.
Management says more than 350 guests attended a weekend event where staff reported several policy violations, including people smoking inside the venue. Videos of the behavior have also been circulating on social media.
There were also multiple videos online Sunday showing fights in the street near the venue.
In its statement, Crossties said the decision was not made lightly and thanked customers who respected the space over the years. The venue says all events already booked will still be held before the business officially closes.
