The Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department is encouraging residents to participate in National Drug Take Back Day this Saturday, April 25.
The event provides a safe, easy, and anonymous way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications. Drop-offs will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at two locations — in front of the Texarkana Emergency Center and at the back of the Bi-State Justice Building across from the train station at 100 North State Line Avenue.
No identification is required, and officials say properly disposing of medications can help prevent misuse, accidental poisonings, and addiction.
The event is part of a nationwide effort to promote safe medication disposal.
