Texarkana police say they’re stepping up enforcement after multiple calls about teens causing problems at the Richmond Ranch shopping area.
Authorities report groups gathering late in the evenings, especially on weekends, with incidents including fights, reckless driving in parking lots, and disturbances inside stores.
Police spokesman Shawn Vaughn says some teens are being dropped off at the movie theater, then moving to other areas.
Officers are now taking a zero-tolerance approach. Over the weekend, several juveniles were arrested, citations were issued, and nine people were banned from the property.
Police say extra patrols will continue and are urging parents to keep track of their children’s activities.
