Main Street Texarkana has launched the Light Up West Broad Street Campaign, aiming to raise $125,000 in matching funds to extend decorative string lighting along West Broad Street.
The project comes after a community survey found residents want better lighting, improved safety, and continued downtown revitalization. Officials say the new lighting will connect East and West Broad Streets into one unified downtown corridor.
Every dollar donated will be matched, doubling the impact of each contribution. Main Street Texarkana says the project will help create a more welcoming atmosphere for visitors, businesses, and the community.
