A major lithium project near Texarkana will be officially unveiled later this month.
EnergyX plans to hold a grand opening for its Texas lithium demonstration plant on March 26 at the Lonestar Lithium facility near Red River Army Depot.
The company says the plant will be the largest direct lithium extraction facility in the United States, capable of producing about 250 tons of lithium per year.
EnergyX founder and CEO Teague Egan says the demonstration plant is a step toward building a much larger 50-thousand-ton production facility in the future.
The event, called “GET-Lit at Lonestar,” will run from 4 to 7 p.m., with remarks from Egan and a guided tour. Attendance is limited and reservations are required.
