CHRISTUS Saint Michael Health System has awarded more than $300,000 in grant funds to six nonprofit organizations serving the Texarkana area.
The funding, provided through the CHRISTUS Community Impact Fund, supports programs that promote health and well-being in the community. Recipients include Community Healthcore, Hands-on Texarkana, Harvest Regional Food Bank, the Southwest Arkansas Counseling and Mental Health Center, the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center, and the Salvation Army.
Camille Wrinkle with Harvest Texarkana says the grant will help them continue feeding those in need, while CASA COO Misty Honea says the support comes at a critical time as many organizations face cuts to state and federal funding.
