Five local nonprofits are sharing more than $300,000 in grants from the CHRISTUS Community Impact Fund.
The funding was awarded to Community Healthcore, Northeast Texas CASA, Harvest Regional Food Bank, Randy Sams Outreach Shelter, and St. Edward Catholic Church.
CHRISTUS says the grants support organizations serving some of the community's most vulnerable residents, providing services including food, shelter, mental health care, transportation, and case management.
Recipients were selected based on community health needs and other challenges facing the Texarkana area.
