Officers were called to an apartment complex in the 3300 block of Nichols Drive, where they found a 16-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to the ankle.
The victim was taken to Christus St. Michael Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives followed leads and identified a 15-year-old as the suspected shooter. He was arrested Tuesday on an aggravated assault charge and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.
